3l Most effective View Summer Infant Pan/scan Baby Monitor Redesign
The reason I gave Summer's Top View Monitor 5 stars was for the reason that I couldn't give it ten! I ordered this item for my wife after our 6-month-old son was twice found lying on his stomach, close to-face-down. I can not emphasize sufficient how completely satisfied we are with this product. Immediately after reading the 2 unfavorable comments (a single complained the monitor did not work when on battery power, and the other thought the picture was too grainy when utilised in a dark room in the middle of the night - you have got to be kidding!) I can assure you the quality of this $179 item is greater than my $20,000 night vision goggles provided me by the National Guard. If you're expecting this to look like your 60" High Definition Flat Screen Tv in your living space then yes, you're going to be disappointed. My wife and I definitely Appreciate this product and I can not emphasize adequate the peace-of-thoughts it has offered us. I know simply because my brother died of SIDS, and the emotional scar it left on my mother is not a thing I would wish on anybody. Our son's bedroom is pitch-dark at night, and this camera tends to make it seem as even though there is a spotlight shining on him - his face is that clear and bright (isn't technology outstanding). Just after a couple of nights employing the 2.five" hand-held screen, we wanted to experiment with the Audio-Video jacks provided so we plugged them into our 32" HD Flat Screen Television in our bedroom. Well... let me tell you.... this is the cat's meow! Now either my wife or I can simply open our eyes and quickly appreciate an completely unbelievable image of our son at rest (and can hear him more than the Television as nicely) - it doesn't get much better than this
Thank you Summer for such an outstanding product that assists parents everywhere prevent SIDS with such a high-quality monitoring system as this.

RECORD YOUR Child PLAYING IN THEIR CRIB!
How ironic that I ended my initial evaluation above with the words "It doesn't get greater than this!". I can now tell you it does get superior. Right after watching our son on our bedroom Television 1 morning as he was playing, my wife made the comment "It's too negative we couldn't have this recorded". I instantly went and took our DVD recorder and plugged the audio/video jacks from the monitor into the DVD recorder, and then back out to the Tv, and wah-lah... we now record these valuable moments for posterity. It is totally priceless to now record these before-unseen moments as he plays in the morning sun soon after waking. We have now recorded him mastering to activate the carousel by himself as he struggled till he finally accomplished his goal. Thanks Summer for thinking ahead to add the audio/video jacks to this wonderful product.
I owned the previous generation of this monitor from Amazon and employed it for about a month ahead of the screen on the monitor created a green static more than the transmitted image. I referred to as Summer Infant and they agreed to replace the technique. A few weeks later, the "new and improved" generation of the top view monitor arrived. I quickly noticed the difference in the high quality of the video. The old generation's night vision image was crisp and comparatively clear, though this monitor's night vision is grainy and fuzzy. The sound on this new monitor also cuts in and out, at instances for a handful of seconds. I do not recall ever having an problem with the sound on the old version. If you are attempting to make a decision among the old and the new version, I strongly suggest going with the older model.
